Primary Care Commissioning Panel

A formal delegation agreement has been issued by NHS England to empower NHS Nottingham City CCG to commission primary care medical services for the people of Nottingham City.

The Primary Care Commissioning Panel has been established in accordance with NHS Nottingham City CCG’s Constitution and operates as a corporate decision-making body for the management of the delegated functions and the exercise of the delegated powers. The Primary Care Commissioning Panel is accountable to the Governing Body.

The Panel is subject to any directions made by NHS England or by the Secretary of State.


The membership of the Primary Care Commissioning Panel is made up of the following independent and executive members:

  • Independent Nurse – Sharon Robson
  • Associate Lay Member – Suma Harding
  • Associate Lay Member – Janet Champion (Chair)
  • Chief Officer – Samantha Walters 
  • Chief Finance Officer – Jonathan Bemrose
  • Corporate Medical Lead – Dr Alastair McLachlan
  • Out of Area GP - Vacancy


  • Director of Quality and Personalisation – Sally Seeley
  • Healthwatch Nottingham Representative – Vacancy
  • Nottingham City Health and Wellbeing Board Representative – Vacancy

Other officers may be invited to attend meetings when the Panel is discussing items that fall within their areas of responsibility.
