Sexual health services
Would you like to have your say on local sexual health services?
Click here to complete a short questionnaire.
Sexual health is a part of everyone’s life at some point and having good sexual health is part of your overall good health and wellbeing.
You may have previously been in contact with sexual health services at the local clinic, GP practice, or pharmacist in relation to:
- Contraception
- Screening for sexually transmitted infections
- Exploring options and help for unplanned pregnancy
- Getting help and advice about safer sex practices.
Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire South [1]Clinical Commissioning Groups, along with Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, are working together to obtain the views and experiences of both current and potential users of the sexual health services available. In an ever changing population we need to ensure that the services provided are meeting local need, are cost effective, efficient and accessible to all.
We are asking you to get involved in this process and to give just a few minutes of your time to complete a short questionnaire.
We want to hear from women and men of all ages who have used the sexual health services in Nottingham City and/or Nottinghamshire South or who might want to use them in the future.
We would like to hear your views on the range of sexual health services that are available including:
- Advice and guidance on a wide range of contraceptives
- Screening for sexually transmitted infections (STIs)
- Testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STIs)
- Advice and referral regarding pregnancy
- Guidance and referral to specialist services
As part of this we want to find out what opening times work best for most people and find out from you some ideas about the best way to provide sexual health services. The answers you give to the questions will influence the development of the services. It is important to us that we have your views and opinions on where the services will be delivered from and preferred opening times of the clinics.
The results from the questionnaire will be considered and will be used to inform and influence decisions on the sexual health services provided.
All responses must be received by 29 February 2012.
