Organisations invited to help plan podiatry services

Local organisations are invited to attend a planning workshop to help define successful community podiatry services in Nottingham.

Nottingham City Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is holding a workshop from 2pm to 4.30pm on Thursday 23 July to help identify the model and outcomes required from successful community podiatry services. The session will build on opportunities highlighted by previous engagement, provide feedback on actions the CCG has taken following engagement and help to define priorities for services in the future.

The CCG already holds a number of contracts with providers for community podiatry services which all end in March 2016. The services are experiencing high levels of activity and we are taking this opportunity to revisit the ways in which the services are accessed, who can be referred and what the services need to deliver in terms of patient outcomes.

The purpose of the workshop will be to consider the proposed pathway and definitions, share ideas, innovation and best practice on how an integrated pathway should work for patients and professionals. Facilitated group sessions will give attendees the chance to put forward their views on what should be measured to demonstrate successful outcomes from Nottingham’s Community Podiatry services.

Who should attend the workshop?

Organisations who can contribute to supporting the CCG’s understanding around the key criteria, interventions and outcomes which define successful community podiatry services. This may include:

  • Organisations providing (or interested in providing) social nail cutting services (to be considered as part of the pathway but not funded by the NHS)
  • Organisations providing (or interested in providing) core podiatry, biomechanics, domiciliary, community specialist podiatry, advanced podiatry and podiatric surgery
  • Organisations with an interest in the provision of podiatry services, including providers of related services (e.g. diabetes etc.)

The workshop will take place at the Crowne Plaza, Wollaton Street, Nottingham NG1 5RH. To book a place email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.  or call 0115 883 9473. Spaces are limited.
