CCG to host workshop on local estates strategy

Nottingham City CCG is holding a workshop to consider a planned strategy on local estates.

In response to NHS England's Five Year Forward View, the NHS is looking at its processes and systems in order to change the way that it delivers care and improve the quality of services by using its resources more efficiently.

The buildings used by NHS organisations are a key component in this work, both through the support that estates provide for providing high quality care, and through the potential to use them more efficiently. The NHS estate is an essential component of effective and efficient service delivery.

Nottingham City CCG is therefore developing a primary and community NHS estates strategy to ensure that the buildings used by local NHS organisations contribute to delivering high quality care within sustainable resources and the organisation is hosting a workshop on Thursday 30 July from 2pm to 5pm to look more closely at the planned strategy and discuss the issue with local stakeholders.

The workshop is open to anyone working in health care who has an interest in exploring opportunities for future health care estate optimisation. It will provide an overview of the current estate profile and local context and will include discussions to help understand the challenges and the drivers for change and to explore opportunities for future estate investment.
