People's Council
Our People’s Council help to shape our engagement programmes by advising on how best to involve different communities in the work we do. It is made up of members of the public who are supported as ‘patient leaders’ and representatives from voluntary and community sector organisations. We aim to have a People’s Council that is representative of the City and its health needs.
People’s Council members are recruited based on their ability to represent a community in the city or based on their experience of health or care issues.

People's Council Update
Over the past few months a review of patient and public involvement (PPI) has taken place across Greater Nottingham, looking at patient committees for Nottingham West, Nottingham North and East, Rushcliffe and Nottingham City.
This review has resulted in the development of a patient and public engagement committee (PPEC) for Greater Nottingham.
The People’s Council had its final meeting in May and formally ceased on 31 May 2019. A new page will be established here, to introduce the Greater Nottingham PPEC following their recruitment and initial meeting.
